We know what you really wanna know about the community sports club, that’s why we’ve compiled a list of all the frequently questions we usually get asked regarding our community sports, education and football club. If you still haven’t found the answers you’re looking for, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to answer your questions.

 

Community Sports Club FAQs:

 

How do I book a pitch?

  • Pitches can be booked via instant book for any date within the next 2 weeks via the Playfinder app or website. You can also use both of these platforms to make enquiries for bookings further in advance than 2 weeks or for block bookings. All bookings are handled through Playfinder but you can contact 3g@tmunited.org if you have any questions about the pitch facilities.

How do I book a function:

  • Hall enquiries can be sent to info@tmunited.org, or you can call the main stadium line to request more information. Our events co-ordinator only works Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays so we would advise trying to call on these days between 9am-4.30pm.

Do you have a community hall:

  • We only have our function hall which as a licenced premises can only be used for events where alcohol is purchased from our bar.

​

Is there parking at the venue:

  • Yes, we have ample parking for up to 100 vehicles and this is free to all customers.

​

Is the sports bar a members only bar:

  • No, the sports bar is open to everyone although under 16’s will need to be accompanied by an adult.

​

What are your opening times:

  • Our main reception is open 9am-5pm Monday to Friday

  • The pitches are open 9am-10pm Monday to Friday, 9am-9pm Saturdays and 9am-7pm Sundays

  • The Sports bar hours can vary out of the football season so between May-August we recommend checking our social media for updates. Between September and April it is open 5-10pm Monday to Friday, 9am-9pm Saturdays and 9am-7pm Sundays. The sports bar will occasionally close on a Friday for a private event.

What opportunities are there for my children at Tooting and Mitcham Community Sports Club

  • Our current programmes include competitive youth league football for ages 12-16, with training on Wednesdays, Thursdays and matches on Sundays. Football skills training on Saturdays for ages 5-11years and sports activity camps up to 14 years in all school holidays

  • Academy Education FAQs:

  • What courses are delivered as part of the football education programme?

  • Pearson BTEC Level 2 First Extended Certificate in Sport (Football) is a one year course offering the equivalent of 3 GCSE’s allowing entry to the Level 3 qualification.

  • Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching & Development (Football) is a two year course providing 168 UCAS points (the equivalent of 3 A levels) for entry to university.

Can I join the academy scholarship programme without joining the education programme?

  • Yes, there are possibilities to join our programme without our formal education process, however there are conditions attached such as cost and limited spaces.

​

What is the progression and pathway?

  • U21's - a pathway into senior football for the majority of our academy graduates, of which over 75% made senior appearances in our first team. Awards - Suburban League  South Champions; Isthimian Development League South and; Champion of Champions.​

  • Coaching & Refereeing:

    • Career​ - supporting graduates who are looking to take up opportunities in grass roots coaching and refereeing. 

    • Qualifications - graduates can also be supported in their ongoing learning to obtain their professional qualifications for those that want to continue their progression in these careers.

  • Senior / Semi-Professional / Professional Football - from our U21s development programme, the club provides a clear pathway for a consistent number of players to enter first team football. In addition, our links with several non-league football clubs provides the opportunity into senior football. Our club networks allow us to facilitate and maintain a good track record for players who have displayed exceptional skill to access professional / league football opportunities.

What league do the first team play in?

  • The Combined Counties Premier League.

How can I make an application to sign up for the first team?

What are the general admission prices for a first-team game?

  • Adults £10, Concessions £5.

​

Can I buy a season ticket?

  • Yes, available online from our partner website www.tmunited.org or application forms can be filled in and paid for at our sports bar. Adult tickets are £160 and concessions £80.

​

Are cup games covered by my season ticket:

  • No, Cup games are all attendees pay. Adults £10, Concessions £5.

​

Is there parking at the venue:

  • Yes, we have ample parking for up to 100 vehicles and this is free to all customers.

​

What is the closest public transport to the venue:

  • There are bus stops for the 118 and 280 buses directly outside the clubs entrance. Mitcham tram stop is a 5 minute walk from the stadium, the closest train station is Mitcham Junction and Morden the closest tube.

​

Are dogs allowed in the ground:

  • Yes, they must be kept on a lead at all times and not taken into the seated stand.

​

Where can I buy a ticket for a match:

  • We don’t offer any ticket sales online, all are purchased on the day of the game on the turnstiles. The turnstiles open an hour before kick off and we accept cash and card payments. Adults are £10 and concessions £5. Under 16s go free with a paying adult or concession.
